1 lb. mild sausage, cooked & well drained
10 oz. grated sharp cheese
4 slices bread
6 eggs, well beaten
2 c. milk
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt

1ST LAYER: Tear up 2 slices bread.

2ND LAYER: 1/2 of the sausage.

3RD LAYER: 1/2 of the cheese.

Repeat first and second layer, mix the eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour over the sausage mixture, top with the remaining 1/2 of the cheese. Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight covered. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.

Serves 10 to 12.
