SWEET CREAM POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 pt. sweet cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time; beat after each. Add 1/3 of flour; beat well. Add 1/2 of milk and beat. Continue with flour and milk, ending with flour; beat after each. Mix in vanilla. Start in COLD oven at 300 degrees. Cook 1 1/2 hours.
