FRUITCAKE COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks of butter
2 eggs, well beaten
2 1/2 c. flour, self-rising
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 tbsp. water
1 c. whiskey
1/2 lb. raisins
1/2 lb. candied fruit
1/2 lb. candied green cherries & 1/2 lb. candied red cherries
1/2 lb. each candied red & green pineapples
1 lb. pecans, chopped

Dredge fruit and nuts in some of flour. Mix butter and eggs. Then add flour. Then put nuts and fruit in. Add whiskey and soda water and mix well. Drop with a teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
