FRUITCAKE COOKIES 
1 lb. candied pineapples
1 lb. dates, pitted and cut up
1 lb. candied cherries
1 1/2 lb. white raisins
6 c. chopped nuts
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 3 tbsp. sweet milk
1/2 c. fruit juice (I use orange)
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs

Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks. Add 2 c. flour sifted with nutmeg and cinnamon. Add 1 c. flour with the soda, milk and juice. Add this batter to fruits and nuts.

Fold in beaten egg whites last. Drop by the teaspoonful on greased cookie sheets and bake about 18 minutes at 300 degrees. This recipe makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies.
