SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
4 lg. apples
1 c. maple syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
5 med. cooked sweet potatoes
1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs

Peel and slice apples into simmering syrup. Add salt, butter and simmer until the apples are tender. Alternate layers of sweet potatoes and apple mixture in a shallow buttered baking dish. Top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees 20 minutes or until top is browned and thoroughly heated.
