SPLIT PEA AND HAM SOUP 
1 c. 1/2 lb. split green peas
1 c. peeled and diced potatoes
1 lg. carrot, shredded
1 lg. stalk celery, diced
1 med. onion, chopped
6 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 (6 3/4 oz.) can chunk ham or 2 c. diced baked ham
Dash of garlic powder
Dash of onion powder

Cook peas, vegetables and ham in large covered pot 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
