1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolve in milk

Cream butter, sugar and egg. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until tested as done.
