ELEGANT STEAK AND NOODLES 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
1 1/2 tbsp. oil
2 lg. onions, cut in slices and separated into rings
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained (reserve liquid)
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. dry sherry (can omit sherry and use water instead)
1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
3 c. cooked noodles or rice

Cut steak into thin strips. Brown in oil, add onion, saute until tender. Blend soup, sherry or water, liquid from mushrooms, and garlic salt. Pour over steak. Add mushrooms. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour or until steak is tender or cover and bake at 350 degrees. Serve over noodles or rice. Makes 6 servings.
