Bailey's Irish Cream Cake

Excellent cake! I subsituted chocolate cake and chocolate pudding and it came out very well. Glaze recipe makes way too much, I think you could halve it, unless you want the cake drowning in the glaze.

Superb cake! My guests said it was 2nd only to my cannoli. The glaze recipe makes too much, but I drizzled some of the excess over each slice. Delicious!

Actually 10 stars! Unbelievably delicious and easy to make. Turned out perfect the first time. I use a butter knife to get more of the glaze into the cake and baste it regularly over a few hours.

This recipe is the same as a rum cake I've been making for years and yes drown the cake. You should prick the cake with a small knife after the cake has cooled and then pour the glaze over I usually put it in a dish with sides so it can sit for a day and soak in all that glaze

This cake has become a holiday tradition. The Glaze alone is worth it, but the cake as a whole is one of the best I make. Have tried the Chocolate version and it is really good, but the original holds a special place in my heart. Also, I would say to go with a non-pudding cake and go with the extra egg and pudding to make it a little more moist.

I love this cake but would like to make a non alcohol glaze. Any suggestions?

You can get Irish cream flavoring or what about Irish cream coffee creamer?

Love, love, love this Irish cream cake. I make it every year for St. Patrick's Day. I warm the glaze and put it in a pitcher so every scan have as much or as little as they want. Absolutely my favorite boxed recipe! Thanks so much:)

This glaze makes enough to glaze the cake bottom first when it comes out of the oven. I poke holes all round the bottom of the cake while its still in the pan. When it cools I invert and put holes in the top of the cake and brush glaze on with a pastry brush. This way the cake has lots of Bailey's flavoring throughout the cake. My family and friends love this cake.
