CORN FRITTERS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. cooked whole kernel corn
Hot salad oil

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, stir in eggs, shortening, milk and corn, mixing well. Drop by tablespoonfuls into deep oil (2 to 3 inches), heated to 375 degrees.
