LIZ'S CINNAMON ROLL RING (FROM
CANNED BISCUITS)

Rolls:

2 cans of buttermilk biscuits (5 per can)
1/2 stick butter
1/4 cup cinnamon
1/2 cup of sugar or Splenda
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Icing:

powdered sugar
milk

Preheat oven at 350°F.

Separate biscuits from can and pat each one down to flatten. Overlapping each biscuit make two rows (there should be two rows of five over lapping each other).

In a small bowl, melt butter and mix in the cinnamon, sugar and vanilla extract. Brush generously over biscuits coating entire surface. Roll the biscuits to form a 6-8 inch log. Cut both ends off, then cut 2 inch slices.

Place in cake pan, forming a circle and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk to the consistency of thick syrup. Once rolls are cooked, remove from oven and drizzle the icing all over the rolls.

Let stand for about 10 minutes or until icing hardens.

Enjoy! Caution! Very fattening!

Thanks for the tip. I was putting two biscuits together was not enough to roll. I dont melt the butter I just keep rubbing the butter, sugar and cinn. until its mixed good on the biscuits

I wouldn't melt the butter...just mix the cin. and sugar well with the butter while its soft because when you spread the melted butter sugar and cin. over the flattened out biscuits it makes it hard to roll it all together...then they tend to peel apart while cooking instead of being the cute uniform cin. roll. Just a little tip :)

Instead of brushing the mixture on i individually coated them in a bowl on both sides then baked them separate instead of the log method. I only had a small can of biscuits and it worked great.

I used one package of Grands size and overlapped. Worked out very well to roll out. Used brown sugar which added Nice warm color. Next time I would bake in individual muffin tins as with the large size the middle one wasn't done. Also I think sprinkling with the sugar and cinnamon would be better as a lot of mixture didn't stay on as rolled. I added extra to bottom of pan and on top. Added some softened cream cheese to frosting!
