COCONUT MACAROONS 
1 1/3 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped almonds
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix together coconut, almonds, sugar, flour, and salt. Stir in egg whites and vanilla. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonsful onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes or until edges are light brown. Remove immediately. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
