COCONUT MACAROONS 
1 1/3 c. flake coconut
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 unbeaten egg whites
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Maraschino cherry halves

Mix dry ingredients together well. Add the unbeaten egg whites and the almond extract. Mix all very well.

Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Place cherry half in center of each cookie, press down. Bake in 325 degree oven for 20 minutes until edges are brown. Remove onto brown paper immediately. Note: Makes 18 cookies.
