MICROWAVE LIVER AND ONIONS
Since only my husband likes liver, and I don't like standing around frying it, this is a great way to cook an unlikable meal.

2 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt (Lawry's)
1 lb. liver, cut in serving size pieces
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup water

Melt butter in 12x8-inch dish (30 to 60 seconds). Combine flour and seasoned salt. Dredge liver in flour. Place liver in dish. Sprinkle excess flour over liver. Add remaining ingredients. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave at HIGH 5 minutes. Reduce power to 50% (medium). Microwave 11-15 minutes or until liver is fork tender. Turn over and rearrange pieces after half the cooking time.

Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

Microwave Liver and Onions

This was absolutely scrumptious. I love liver and onions and though my stove is on the blink, I had a taste for this. It was a very simple recipe with great results. One variation is that I used beef broth instead of water. I definitely will make this again.

Very straight forward and easy to follow. Added my own variation by putting bacon over the top as we traditionally have liver and bacon. Highly recommended!

Thank you for sharing this recipe. It was really delish! I used less water and added soya sauce. I was worried about using red onions as that was all i had at the time. But it turned out great.
