BUD'S GINGERSNAPS 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
7/8 c. Crisco, melted, not hot
1/4 c. molasses
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Pre-mix by sifting first 6 ingredients; set aside. In mixing bowl add next 3 ingredients and blend thoroughly. Add and blend thoroughly the egg, add and blend thoroughly the set aside pre-mixed dry ingredients.

Make small dough balls and flatten on an ungreased cookie sheet or aluminum foil covered cookie sheet, sprinkling granulated sugar on the cookies. Cook 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes about 4 dozen small cookies.
