RAISIN GINGERSNAPS | |
3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks) 1 egg 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. molasses 2 1/4 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. cloves 1 1/2 c. raisins Beat butter, egg and sugar. Blend in molasses, flour, soda, salt and spices. Add raisins. Chill for a few hours or overnight in refrigerator. Shape into walnut size balls and roll in granulated sugar. Put on lightly greased baking pan and bake for 8 minutes at 375°F. |
