CHOCOLATE LAYER DESSERT 
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. plain flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 stick melted butter

Press together in a 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until light tan. Cool.

STEP #2:
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, room temp.
1 (4 oz.) sm. carton Cool Whip
1 c. powdered sugar

Mix in mixer for 15 minutes. Spread on step #1.

STEP #3:
1 lg. and 1 sm. instant chocolate pudding mix
3 c. milk

Follow directions on pudding package for mixing. Add 1/2 cup sugar, dash of salt and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Spread on top of step #3.

STEP #4:
1 lg. carton Cool Whip
