SWEET BABY KICK BUTT CHILI | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. hot sausage, crumbled (I like Bob Evans) 1 (28 oz.) can baked beans (Bush's with onion, bacon, brown sugar) 1 1/2 (12 oz. ea.) cans Coke (not diet! - I used Cherry Pepsi this time because my kids drank all the Coke!) 1 (10 oz.) can condensed onion soup 1 (10 oz.) can Rotel diced tomatoes 3/4 (18 oz.) bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce (I used Sweet & Spicy!) 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. onion powder 1/4 tsp. Instant Insanity hot sauce (optional) Crumble and cook the meats thoroughly in a skillet. Drain (don't rinse it!) and add to Crock-Pot and stir. Throw everything else into Crock-Pot, stir, put on LOW and put on the lid. Let the Crock-Pot sit and cook, covered on LOW, for 4 to 6 hours or so. Optional: Cool for an hour and stick it in the refrigerator, covered with Saran or plastic wrap overnight. Next day, put back in Crock-Pot covered on LOW, for 4 to 6 hours or so before serving.
