WORLD'S BEST SUGAR COOKIES | |
1 c. butter 1 c. butter 1 c. sugar (granulated) 1 c. confectioners' sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar Makes 250 cookies. Cream butter, butter, sugars and eggs. Add vanilla. Sift flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar together. Mix into creamed mixture. Chill dough until firm at least 1 hour. Pinch off dough in small balls. Place balls on non-stick cookie sheets or greased sheets. Flatten with the tins of a fork dipped in flour. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. This dough will keep indefinitely in refrigerator. Can be halved easily. |
