BEST OATMEAL COOKIES | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 beaten egg 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 c. rolled oats 3/4 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter; add sugar and brown sugar. Add beaten egg, then remaining ingredients. Chill dough for 1 hour. Form into walnut sized pieces. Grease cookie sheets. Butter bottom of water glass. Dip glass in granulated sugar and flatten dough. Dip glass again in cinnamon and sugar mixture for each cookie. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Yields approximately 78 cookies. If kept in freezer, cookies will remain crispy. |
