BILL'S BEST OATMEAL COOKIES 
3 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. raisins
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. melted shortening
2 eggs, beaten
5 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Stir melted shortening into dry ingredients. Add milk, beaten eggs and vanilla and mix well. Batter will be stiff. Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
