HOT BACON DRESSING FOR LETTUCE
OR SPINACH
 
1/2 lb. bacon, diced and fried crisp
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
Salt and pepper

Beat egg, add sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Stir into hot bacon and grease. Stir to boiling, letting it get thick and bubbly. Pour over lettuce or spinach.
