ITALIAN COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
8 tbsp. Crisco
4-5 tsp. Anise
4 tbsp. milk
3 tsp. baking powder

Mix Crisco, eggs, sugar and anise; then add flour and baking powder while gradually adding the milk. Roll into walnut size balls and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. This will make approximately 2 1/2 dozen of cookies.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. melted butter
Milk

Mix confectioners' sugar with the melted butter adding milk gradually until it becomes a glaze consistency. Then while the glaze is still soft, dip the cookie into colored Jimmies and serve.
