EASY BEEF STEW 
1-2 lbs. stew meat
3 tbsp. oil
1 med. chopped onion
1 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
2 bay leaves

Heat oil and add meat and onions until brown. Add flour and cook until flour dissolves. Add sauce, water, sugar, salt and pepper and bay leaves. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Remove leaves and serve over wide egg noodles, pasta or rice.
