EASY BEEF STEW | |
3 lbs. boneless beef stew meat 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) 1/2 c. sherry or white wine Trim fat and cut meat into 1" or 1 1/2" cubes. Mix all ingredients in casserole (or small baking or roasting pan with cover), cover and bake 3 hours. (1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees and 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees) Do not brown meat first. Serves 6 to 8. Good served with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes. |
