BAKED SHERRIED BEEF STEW 
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
Dash of pepper
2 c. water
1/4 c. cooking sherry
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 lb. beef stew - 1 inch cubes
1/2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
2 lg. onions, sliced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium pan, melt the butter. Stir in flour and pepper. Add water, sherry, and bouillon cubes. Cook and stir until mixture is bubbly and thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in stew meat and Kitchen Bouquet.

Lay onion slices in bottom of oblong baking dish or pan. Spoon meat mixture over the onions. Cover casserole with foil and bake 2 hours at 350 degrees. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 6. Takes about 20 minutes to prepare.
