OVEN BAKED BEEF STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. stew meat
1 med. onion, diced
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1 can mushroom soup
1 env. onion soup mix
1/3 c. water
10 oz. pkg. frozen corn
Potatoes (2 - 4)

1. Slice potatoes; place half in large baking dish.

2. Brown meat with onion in oil; remove meat and onion as they brown to baking dish, top with remaining potatoes.

3. Combine soup, onion soup mix, and water in small bowl. Pour over meat and potatoes and cover.

4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Stir in corn. Continue baking for 15 minutes longer or until meat is tender.
