NO-PEEK OVEN-BAKED BEEF STEW 
2 lbs. top round steak, cut into bite-size chunks
4 carrots, peeled and sliced
4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can cream of celery or cream of chicken soup
1 can ginger ale
1/2 c. red wine
Just enough water to cover all ingredients

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. You don't have to brown the meat. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 hours. DO NOT PEEK! Great for busy afternoons--use your timed bake on the oven, if necessary.

Fantastic recipe. My husband said this was a keeper which tells me he really loved it. The aroma in the kitchen was wonderful and the gravy was thickened on its own meaning you did not have flour.
