JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco oil
4 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. orange juice
4-5 apples

Mix eggs, sugar in bowl. Add oil, vanilla, and orange juice; mix. Add flour, salt, baking powder; mix well. Slice 4-5 apples thin; layer batter and apples, ending with apples.

TOPPING:

3 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsp. sugar

Mix together; sprinkle on top. Bake in greased tube pan 1 hour 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
