JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. cooking oil
4 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Juice from 1 lg. orange (1/4 c.)
5 apples
2 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsp. sugar

Mix first six ingredients into a bowl. Use a large tube pan (10 inch). Grease well. Peel and slice apples, sprinkle with cinnamon and 5 tablespoons sugar. Pour 1/2 of batter in pan, cover with sliced apples. Add remaining batter, top with remaining apple slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours or until done.
