JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
3 c. flour 2 c. sugar 1 c. oil 4 eggs 1/2 c. orange juice 1 tbsp. baking powder 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 5 apples, sliced thin 2 tsp. cinnamon 5 tbsp. sugar Mix together flour, sugar, oil, eggs, orange juice, baking powder, vanilla and salt. With electric mixer, beat until smooth. Peel and core apples. Slice into separate bowl, adding cinnamon and sugar. Stir well. Scrape batter into greased and floured 10" tube pan (bundt pan), using half of the batter, then half of the apples. Pour other half of the batter and remaining apples on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool. GLAZE: Confectionery sugar Butter Vanilla or almond extract |
