CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1-2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 can mandarin oranges
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine the above ingredients with juice from the mandarin oranges. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened.

Place one 18 ounce can sweet potatoes in casserole and place mandarin oranges on top. Pour the boiled liquid over this and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Baste often.
