2 1/2 lbs. sweet potatoes (or yams)
1/4 c. butter
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. dry thyme
1/4 tsp. dry parsley
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt

Boil (until just done) and peel potatoes. Slice 1 inch thick. Heat butter and herbs. Coat potatoes and brown lightly over low heat, turning once.
