MOUTH-WATERING CHOCOLATE
MERINGUE PIE
 
Pie:

1 baked pie shell
6 tsp. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
3 heaping tsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. butter
2 c. milk

Mix flour, sugar and cocoa together in a large saucepan. Add 1 cup milk. Beat egg yolks in with other cup of milk. Combine into saucepan with other mixture. Cook mixture, stirring constantly. As mixture thickens, add butter and vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Add meringue on top.

Meringue:

6 tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3 egg whites

Beat ingredients with mixer until stiff and glossy. Spread over pie mixture and seal edges.

Bake in a 350°F oven until brown (about 6 minutes).
