SKILLET PORK CHOPS | |
4-6 pork chops 1 lg. onion 1/4 c. cooking oil 4 lg. potatoes, peeled, sliced in thin, round slices 1 c. cheddar or American cheese 1/2 c. water Salt & pepper 1. In large skillet, heat cooking oil on medium high heat. 2. Season pork chops well with salt and pepper, brown in skillet. 3. Slice onion in round, thin slices and layer on top of chops. 4. Layer potatoes and onion alternately. Season well with salt and pepper. 5. Add water; cover; simmer 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. 6. Add cheese; cook until melted; serve hot. Serves 4 to 6. |
