APPLE CRISP PIE SQUARES 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. lard
1 egg yolk plus milk to make 2/3 c.

Mix as for pie crust

Roll out half to 15x11 inch. Put on baking sheet.

FILLING:

2/3 c. crushed corn flakes or Rice Krispies
5 apples, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cover with 2/3 cup crushed corn flakes or Rice Krispies. Add 5 apples.

Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Put on top crust and pinch edges together. Top with milk and sugar to brown. Bake 400 degrees for 40 minutes.

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Put on while warm.
