CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES 
1/4 lb. melted butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla or rum flavoring
1 jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/3 c. paraffin wax

Mix melted butter, powdered sugar and flavoring together. Press around drained cherries and place in freezer so they will be hard. Melt chocolate chips and paraffin in a double boiler. Dip each cherry in chocolate mixture and chill. Makes about 4 dozen.
