AMY'S AWESOME CHILI | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. pork sausage, crumbled 2 to 3 cups water 1 medium onion, chopped (big chunks) 1/2 bell pepper, chopped 1 celery stick, chopped 1 can chili beans 1 can stewed tomatoes (slices or halves, undrained) 1 1/2 to 2 cups shell pasta 1 pack of chili seasoning mix salt and pepper, to taste 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder (optional) Combine all ingredients in Crock-Pot. Slow cook on low setting at least 4 hours for best taste results. Optional: When chili is done turn off Crock-Pot, add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder, stir and let stand 15 minutes. Note: Some Crock-Pots may cook better on low-medium setting. Submitted by: Amy Hanners |
