BAKED CABBAGE 
1 head cabbage (about 2 1/2 lbs.)
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. hot milk
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 12 x 8-inch baking dish. Wash cabbage and cut into 12 wedges. Pour 1 cup water in skillet; bring to boil. Add 1 teaspoon salt and cabbage. Cook over medium heat, covered, for 10 minutes. Drain well. Arrange cabbage in baking dish. Sprinkle with mixture of flour, sugar and 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Dot with butter. Pour hot milk over cabbage. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 35 minutes.
