BAKED STUFFED CABBAGE | |
3 lean fat 1 vegetable Cal. 265, Fat 15, Carb. 6, Salt 692, Pro. 22, Pot. 628. INGREDIENTS: 8 lg. cabbage leaves, wash and blanch 1 lb. ground round steak 3 tbsp. minced onions 2 tbsp. parsley, chopped 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. thyme 1/2 clove garlic, pressed Dash red pepper 1/2 c. tomato sauce Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drain and dry blanched cabbage leaves. Combine remaining ingredients except tomato sauce. Divide meat into 8 equal portions on cabbage leaves. Roll leaves around meat. Secure with toothpicks. Place seam side down in a baking dish. Cover with tomato sauce. Bake covered about 50 or 60 minutes. I like to add 1/2 teaspoon dry Italian herbs to the tomato sauce for a little extra flavor. |
