MUFFIN DOUGHNUTS 
2 c. cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. milk

If bread flour is used, reduce amount by 2 tablespoons per cup.

Sift flour, measure, sift again with baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Cream shortening, add sugar and cream well. Add egg, beat well. Combine nuts with dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Fill well-greased muffin pans and bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or until done.

Remove from pan and dip in melted butter and roll in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar to 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
