MAKE-IT-EASY CHICKEN 
1 lg. (14x20) oven cooking bag
2 tbsp. flour
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
2 med. onions
3 med. baking potatoes
4 med. carrots
1 med. green pepper
1 (3-4 lb.) whole chicken
Salt, pepper and paprika to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Shake flour in oven cooking bag; place in 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Add water, basil, thyme and seasoning salt to bag. Squeeze bag to blend ingredients.

Season chicken with salt, pepper and paprika. Place whole chicken in bag. Cut onion and potatoes into 8 wedges each. Diagonally slice carrots and cut green pepper into 1/2-inch cubes.

Place vegetables in bag around chicken and turn bag to coat with sauce. Close bag with nylon tie. Make 6 half-inch slits in top of bag. Bake 1 to 1 1/3 hours or until chicken is tender.

You can substitute 8 pieces of chicken for the whole chicken in this recipe. Bake 50-60 minutes.
