AUSTRIAN CHOCOLATE BALLS 
2 oz. (2 squares) unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts

GLAZE:

1 oz. (1 square) unsweetened chocolate
1 tbsp. butter, softened
1/4 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
3-4 tbsp. milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In medium saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Stir sugar, egg and extract into chocolate mixture. Add flour and nuts. Blend thoroughly. Shape dough into 3/4" balls, placed on ungreased cookie sheet 1" apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes until set. Cool completely.

In small saucepan, melt chocolate and butter. Add remaining ingredients; blend well. Dip tops of cookies into glaze. Allow cookies to dry completely before storing in air tight container. 36 cookies.
