BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

I prefer to put the mustard on the bread; the baloney must be fried, top with thinly sliced raw onion and red hot sauce. A slice of cheese on it is always good too.

So funny! My mother always fried it in a skillet and used mayo on white bread. I hadn't thought about that in decades! Thanks for the memory.

Thank you for this recipe. I've been doing it wrong for years. I've been putting mustard on a piece of bread, then the bread between 2 slices of bologna. This is truly a life changing recipe.

Nobody has mentioned the famous Nebraska recipe. You haven't tasted the sweet life until you've had white bread, mayo, bologna, and Velveeta.

I feel a little guilty eating baloney sandwiches now, so I make my sandwiches more healthy by layering homemade wheat bread, mayo, baloney, lots of sprouts, baloney, mayo and bread.

Now I can eat fatty processed baloney without the guilt.

BTW...if your out of baloney, crack open a can of the SPAM that you have stashed out there with the cases of provisions your hording for the Zombie Apocalypse. It is almost as good as baloney and is a shelf stable product. Not everyone can run to the store for their baloney fix ya know.

I cannot believe how serious you all are! I thought this was a joke! Anyway adding to the sandwich it also works with bread, cheddar cheese, sliced tomato and lettuce. Toasted.

I have a healthier way to try with the Bologna. Try 2 slices of wheat bread 2 slices of Bologna and Hellmans Mayo. A healthy twist to the original recipe. I was wondering how many of you sing the B.O.L.O.G.N.A song when you type it. ;) I know I do

I'm not able to spell bologna without without singing the Oscar Mayer song first.

Arkansas - when we were little mom would grind up the bologna, onion, sweet pickles and some good yellow cheese add miracle whip. It was awesome on a piece of bread! Tried it with my husband, he wasn't having it. His has to be almost burnt with mustard between two slices of Wonderbread. Personally give me cold (good bologna) with mustard and a big slice of tomato.

WOW, so happy I found this recipe. To think we were going to serve Salmon and Filet-Mignon at our wedding. I told my bride about this and we just contacted our caterer to make the change. They even suggested to cut the white bread on a diagonal.

The best way is to fry the bologna on wheat bread toasted, with lettuce and onion, tomato and mustard.

This sandwich is even better if you fry the bologna first. My grandkids love it.
