BUTTERSCOTCH CHILLED COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or other fat
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
3 1/2 c. enriched all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Few grains of salt

Cream sugar and shortening and add eggs and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Dredge the nuts in part of the flour and add to mixture. Mold into 2 well-shaped rolls and refrigerate overnight. Slice and bake at 400 degrees for 5-8 minutes.
