Put 1 pound shrimp, cooked, shelled and deveined in a buttered shallow baking dish just large enough to hold them in 1 layer and sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a skillet, saute 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced, in 3 tablespoons butter until they are browned and transfer them to a bowl. (OPTIONAL: Saute clove of minced garlic with mushrooms.)
Toss the mushrooms with 1 tablespoon flour and stir in 1 cup sour cream, 5 tablespoons butter, well softened, 1 teaspoon imported soy sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and sprinkle the dish with 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese and 1 teaspoon sweet Hungarian paprika. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Serves 4.
