ORIENTAL PASTA WITH SHRIMP
12 oz. spaghetti, cooked and drained
1/2 c. mild soy sauce
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. chopped green onions
2 cloves garlic, chopped well
4 tsp. sesame seeds
2 tsp. sugar
1 heaping tsp. finely chopped fresh gingerroot
1 c. fresh snow peas, cut in half diagonally
2 c. fresh med. shrimp, cooked, cooled and shelled

Be careful not to over cook spaghetti, most spaghetti is cooked in 10 to 12 minutes.

Sesame seeds are even better when toasted to light brown in the oven.

Be careful not to over cook shrimp, shrimp should be boiled in water lightly seasoned with salt and pepper for 3-4 minutes.

Break spaghetti in half prior to cooking. Prepare marinade by mixing soy sauce, oil, onions, garlic, sesame seeds, sugar and gingerroot. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour marinade evenly over cooled spaghetti. Cover and refrigerate.

Toss occasionally for even distribution. Recipe should marinate 12-24 hours for absorption. Prior to serving, toss gently with snow peas and shrimp. Garnish with fresh sprigs of parsley, fresh ground pepper and additional sesame seeds. Serve chilled! Serves 8.
