Excellent basic brown gravy recipe. I used a bouillon cube as I had no canned meat broth. I added 1/2 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet to make it a rich dark chocolate color. Added a bit more flavor too. But if you make it as is, it will be a delicious peanut butter colored brown gravy. I can't wait for the eye of round roast to finish cooking so I can drowned it in gravy!

This was so perfect! Set up and tasted beautiful first time I made it. Thank you for this recipe. Until this evening I haven't been able to make a decent homemade brown gravy to save my butt!!! Love it and can't say enough nice things. :D

I was making meatloaf last night. Then I remembered that my boyfriend likes gravy on his. I have never put gravy over meatloaf. So I wanted to make some from scratch. I have tried the packets and they taste weird. I found this recipe and it was soooo good and easy to make. My son and boyfriend loved it. I will never make packet gravy again. Thank you for this :)

I am going to substitute the bouillon - with Goya Ham Concentrate instead. (Its in Mexican section)... it is actually a bouillon - but with ham flavor. Funny - I do NOT eat ham... but love the flavor in cooked beans & cabbage... Now I will try it as a gravy. Thanks for sharing this...
