NEW YEAR'S DAY PORK & KRAUT 
Lg. roaster pan with cover
2 lg. cans (#2 1/2) or 2 lg. bags sauerkraut
Pork chops, ribs or whatever cut you wish, enough to cover the entire area of the roasting pan
Bisquick

Put all the kraut into the roaster. Sweeten to taste with a little brown sugar. Add a cup or 2 of water. Lay the pork over the kraut. Cover with roaster lid. Bake at 350 degrees until pork is thoroughly done.

Make drop biscuit or dumpling recipe from side of Bisquick box. Drop the dumplings onto the hot kraut. (Remove pork first - keep it hot while the dumplings cook.) Follow recipe for dumplings by baking UNCOVERED for 10 minutes; then return cover to roaster and bake 10 minutes more. Serve with mashed potatoes, pork, kraut and dumplings and applesauce all on the same plate.
