HAMBURGER NOODLE CASSEROLE 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. noodles
1 can cream of mushroom-chicken or celery soup
1/2 soup can of milk
1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lg. rib celery, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1 (8-10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas

Brown hamburger, onions and celery in skillet. Add seasonings and set aside. Cook noodles to package instructions and slightly underdone. Take soup and 1/2 soup can of milk, mix well and add to noodles. Add peas to noodles. Put noodle mixture and hamburger mixture into casserole dish.

For topping, melt about 1 tablespoons butter in skillet. Cut bread to crouton size and stir into butter. Put over noodle mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until topping is brown. When making this I often double recipe and put one casserole in oven and one in freezer.
